Following a distinguished 23-year career as a financial management consultant—built on a foundation in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ)—Emel Uğurlu transitioned her expertise from the world of numbers to the realm of form, texture, and storytelling.
Today, she leads her own ceramic studio with a unique dual perspective: combining professional project management with a deep artistic reverence for Anatolia’s rich cultural heritage. Her work reinterprets historical motifs into contemporary, large-scale ceramic wall art, designed to bring soul and character to modern architectural spaces.
